WORKSHOP LEADER: William Goodchild
June 2nd - 5th 2010
Festival of Nature has joined forces with the BBC Concert Orchestra. At the heart of the Festival of Nature is a mandate to find new ways to connect people with nature - through activities, performance, hands-on learning, exploration and discovery. This June, we'll be using music and composition to get 14-19 year olds thinking about nature in a whole new way. This year, in the run up to the Festival, young musicians across the city will be taking part in a unique workshop writing their very own film score to a natural history production, and along the way developing thier performance, composition, improvisation & ensemble skills. Join us at the world premiere performance of local young musicians and BBC Concert Orchestra performers at 3pm, Saturday June 5th at Armada House. Further opportunities to hear the composition will include video and audio broadcast at the Bristol Festival of Nature and online and radio broadcast - watch this space!
